1. Langfoss Waterfall
Langfoss is an amazing waterfall that you can experience along E134 in Etne municipality. It has been voted one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world by CNN. The waterfall has a 612 meter drop, and is the fifth tallest in Norway. You can take fantastic photos of the waterfall along the way, or from the car park at the bottom of the waterfall. It is also possible to go down the stairs to sea level where you can get great photos of the Åkrafjord and the waterfall! We also recommend the hike to the top of Langfoss waterfall. The hike takes 4 hours, so make sure you have appropriate equipment and food.
2. The Sherpa stairs
The Sherpa stairs lead to Fossabrekko on Stord, where you can continue the hike to Stovegolvet if you want. From the Sherpa stairs there is an amazing view of fjords and the Folgefonna glacier, and you can see several of the municipalities of Sunnhordland. We recommend driving from E39 towards Fjellgardane and Lundsseter, to Ådlandsvatnet or Førlandskrysset (Rommetveit). In summer you can drive all the way up to Heio. From there you can hike the newly made Sherpa stairs. You do not have to go far before you see the Folgefonna glacier in Kvinnherad. You will be provided with an amazing view and beautiful photo spots all the way to the top.
3. Bekkjarvik
Beautiful Bekkjarvik is an old trading place in Austevoll municipality. You will encounter great spots for photos from sea level and from higher points on the island. Bekkjarvik is a lively centre with both shopping and restaurants. In Bekkjarvik you will also find the distinguished Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri, an old guest house with a restaurant and conference rooms. Bekkjarvik also hosts a pub, outdoor table service, a gallery, and a beautiful park attached to the guest house.
You can easily get to Bekkjarvik by car and ferry, your own boat or by express boat. Bekkjarvik marina is a popular place for boat tourists, and is a beautiful marina in the centre of Bekkjarvik with room for 140 boats.

4. Midtfjellet Windmill park
Midtfjellet Windmill park is the largest of its kind in Norway, with its 44 windmills. With the majestic windmills as the backdrop, this is a unique and special place to take good photos. You get a beautiful view of the Fitjar islands from the mountain, and is well worth the visit. The mountain is easily accessible by road. This is a perfect place for hiking trips, bicyclie trips, skiing, fishing and family outings, in an area rich in animals and birds.
There are several footpaths all over the municipality leading to the windmill park.
If you want to drive to the park, you can drive the RV545 at Rimbareid, about 1,5 Km south of Fitjar centre. There is pavement all the way up to the park, with parking spaces for 50 cars. The roads between the windmills are marked by numbers.

5. Blåbærhaugen
There is a fantastic view from Blåbærhaugen on Tysnes. It lies 297 meters above sea level, with a beautiful view over the Onarheimsfjord and the mountains in Kvinnherad. This is an amazing place for great photos, and is popular with tourists. There is a footpath from the centre of Onarheim up to Blåbærhaugen, 4 km each way. On the top there is a plateau and good spots for a little break or a picnic.

6. Ryvarden Lighthouse
Ryvarden lighthouse in Sveio municipality is a popular stopping place and a great place for taking photos. You will see the North Sea, Sletta, the Bømlafjord and islands from here. The lighthouse is a well-known landmark on the coast. From Mølstrevåg you can reach the lighhouse by walking 2km.

7. The UFO-ring in Espevær
Espevær is known for the "UFO-ring" that was discovered in 1975, and is still visible today. You can go for a walk in Espevær, have a look at the UFO-ring - and take a great photo of it. There are several theories as to why the UFO-ring has come about, however no one knows for sure how it was created.
Espevær is an island free of cars, and is known as a coastal pearl in Bømlo municipality. You can get there by express boat from Langevåg on Bømlo.

8. Baroniet Rosendal
Baroniet Rosendal is the smallest castle in Scandinavia and a popular spot for tourists. Baroniet is beautifully situated between two majestic mountains. Outside the castle you will find the rose garden, which is in full bloom in summer and worth a photo. A walk around the beautiful garden and park is recommended. If you visit Baroniet during its opening hours in summer, you can enjoy lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants. Baroniet Rosendal lies in Kvinnherad municipality.

9. Blådalen with a view towards Folgefonna glacier, Møsevassbreen
A drive up to Blådalen will provide you with an amazing view over Møsevatnet lake and the southern end of Folgefonna glacier. It is a 1 hour drive from Rosendal to Møsevatnet. You can walk 10 minutes over the dam and up to the nearest mound to get a great view over Møsevatnet lake and the southern part of the glacier. From the picnic spot you will get a view of the Møsevassbreen glacier (a glacier arm from Folgefonna) and the Møsevatnet lake. On the lake you can often see ice from the glacier floating on the lake, and the lake itself has an amazing blue colour.
It is possible to hike in the area, but you must be careful. If you want to walk on the glacier you need to have an authorised guide from Folgefonni breførarlag.

10. Peparen
Peparen is a small foresty island in Skånevik. There is a walkway over to the island, where you will find nice picnic spots. There are great places for a photo on the way out to Peparen and on the island itself. There is a beach and a diving board on the island.
